Which record do you want to change?

For this iPhone task, pick one record before following a procedure. Use the worksheet to keep your intended change separate from any other result you want to investigate.

  2. On your iPhone, find and select the intended address.
  3. Assign the iPhone Maps address's type as My home.
  4. On your iPhone, finish with Done.

Check the saved destination you intended to set in iPhone Maps. Keep any unresolved search result as a separate note rather than marking every task complete together.

How do you refine the saved pin?

Use this procedure for the pin-adjustment task. These are the current iOS 26 guide's controls; no accuracy or propagation guarantee. Apple's pin instructions.

  1. In iPhone Maps, hold the saved address under Places.
  2. Open Edit Details on your iPhone.
  3. In iPhone Maps, choose Refine Location on the Map and adjust the map.
  4. On your iPhone, finish with Done.

Review the iPhone Maps pin you meant to adjust. Do not use the worksheet as a test of a route or another app.

Should you check Contacts separately?

For the iPhone contact-entry task, follow this separate procedure. Do not treat it as a promise that every other app updates. Apple's Contacts procedure.

  1. In Contacts on your iPhone, open My Card and Edit.
  2. Add the address and label on your iPhone.
  3. On your iPhone, finish with Done.

Choose whether this iPhone contact-entry task belongs on your checklist; do not assume it is part of every Maps edit.

How do you unpin an old saved place?

On your iPhone, hold the saved address under Places and choose Unpin. This procedure addresses a saved place; an unsaved stale search result is outside this procedure. Apple's removal instructions.
