For ongoing location sharing on iPhone, open Find My, tap Me, and turn on Share My Location. Then tap People, tap Add, choose Share My Location, select a person, tap Send, and choose how long to share. Find My also lets the sharer stop sharing later.

How do you verify Find My on two iPhones?

  • On the sharing iPhone, open Find My → Me and confirm that Share My Location is on.
  • On the sharing iPhone, confirm that Sharing From names the intended iPhone.
  • On the sharing iPhone, open Find My → People and confirm the intended person; separately note the duration chosen when sharing began.
  • On the receiving iPhone, open Find My → People and find the sharer's person card.
  • On the receiving iPhone, open the Find My person card and confirm that a location appears for the test.
  • On the receiving iPhone, use Find My to view the sharer's location after sharing is active.
  • If the person cannot be located in Find My, note the No location found status shown below their name.
